Natalie Clayman’s signature eclectic style layers bold patterns with sophistication. Her work embraces old and new in today’s modern traditionalism. Understanding the elements of design and applying them to each project helps her create a true work of art.

Natalie inherited the decorating gene from her mother, aunt and nana…getting her start in floral design, she moved into interior design in college. Upon graduating, she worked for a talented designer and business owner in Knoxville, Tennessee. There, she received the experience needed to create beautiful and eclectic spaces for her clients.

Norris Studio is a full-service interior design firm based in Mayville, Tennessee, led by Principal and Founder Samantha Feuer. The studio is recognized for hospitality and residential work across the country, defined by refined materiality, thoughtful restraint, and a strong emphasis on art. 

At the heart of the studio’s philosophy is the belief that interiors should honor their surroundings while reflecting the people who inhabit them. From commercial spaces that balance durability with warmth to private homes shaped by the lives within them, each project is guided by a deep respect for place and purpose - resulting in environments that feel timeless, grounded, and deeply personal. Prior to launching Norris Studio in 2022, Samantha worked with both the Paris-based design house Hamilton Conte and the renowned design team at Blackberry Farm. She spent a decade at the latter, contributing to the resort’s distinctive aesthetic - an elevated interplay of natural materials and understated elegance. Her experience across these distinct creative world - European design ateliers and celebrated Southern hospitality - shaped the refined, art-forward sensibility she brings to every project.

The studio’s diverse portfolio includes a lakeside home overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains, the restoration of a historic Knoxville residence, an art-filled family home in Larchmont, New York, and the design of a boutique inn in the Tennessee Valley. Current projects include a Park Avenue apartment in Manhattan, a Hamptons beach house, and several waterfront homes across Tennessee.

I've spent the past decade helping F.E. Trainer Construction grow into the company it is today. I joined as an intern and the company's seventh employee, and I've grown alongside the firm as it expanded to a team of fifty — first in project management, then transitioning five years ago into my current role leading sales and preconstruction lead.

As a member of the leadership team since its inception, I've guided the launch of more than 100 projects, ranging from small remodels to large custom new-construction homes. I also lead our marketing and social media, telling the story of our work and the people behind it.

My favorite part of my job is building relationships with clients, teammates, and trade partners.

In 2014, Rob Purvis founded Purvis Builders in Knoxville, Tennessee based on core principles of honesty, respect, quality and integrity. These principles guide Rob and his team daily, contributing to solid working relationships with our homeowners as well as our various subcontractors. Rob has worked in both the residential and commercial construction industry for over 20 years, as well as in marketing, sales and customer service for these industries. He applies these talents to his work, taking pride in crafting the best for his homeowners, overseeing and directing the construction of beautiful, functional homes and renovation projects.

At Purvis Builders, we work closely with our clients and their design team, providing various solutions to any problem presented. Priority is placed on the client’s satisfaction, welcoming the personalized ideas and goals our clients have for their homes; our job isn’t finished until the homeowner is happy with the final product. Purvis Builders has a strong devotion to East Tennessee and we treasure the natural beauty of the mountains, valleys, lakes and rivers that create breathtaking backdrops for the elegant and uniquely crafted homes we are honored to build.

Sara has over 20 years of professional experience in creative and deadline-driven architectural projects, but her true passion has always been business. In 2013, seeing a need for a local architecture firm specializing in historical renovation, Sara and her husband, Sean, combined their skills to establish Open Door Architecture. They have since built a team of designers and project managers dedicated to creating beautiful, functional homes tailored to their clients’ unique needs and styles.
Sara focuses on marketing, mentoring, and business development within the firm. She is passionate about making architecture accessible and relevant to everyone. Her background in both commercial and residential architecture has equipped her with diverse technical expertise in building science, construction detailing and management, and design documentation. This ensures that our clients’ homes are not only beautiful but also well-constructed.

Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband, Sean, their three children, and spoiled dog. She also loves meeting new people, taking walks, and leading her kids’ Girl Scout troop.
